Welcome to the start of your journey to BSEcho 2023, our hybrid annual conference.

COVID brought our profession big challenges and the entire UK echo team stepped up to respond. Post-COVID we were faced with a huge backlog and slowly (but surely) there are now some early signs of recovery; now we need to find the energy to finish the ‘marathon’. It has never been more vital to come together as a national team, learn together, swap stories, recuperate, laugh together and then pick the baton up again and keep going.

In 2022 our 31st annual conference was our most successful ever with record attendance, brilliant feedback and a fantastic atmosphere. The 2022 hybrid platform delivered learning access to everyone whether they could get time off work to attend or not.

We know the effort that you put in daily to deliver the best to your patients and we aim to match that effort by bringing you the best learning we can with our 2023 hybrid conference in Cardiff.

You will find further information in our FAQs, so take a look. Our team are on hand to make sure you have the best conference experience possible, so if you have a question which is not covered there, just get in touch directly.

We can’t wait to welcome you back and I hope to see you in Wales!

Best wishes,

Dr Claire Colebourn
President, British Society of Echocardiography
