#MyBSEcho2020

The British Society of Echocardiography (BSEcho) annual scientific meeting is the highlight of the year for the echo community. It brings together like-minded individuals who share a thirst for knowledge and progression within the field, allowing us to forge professional networks and share ideas.

Usually, it gives those of us who spend a lot of time in dark rooms, the opportunity to escape and listen to experts in our field… in equally dark rooms! But this year, we have to do things a little differently.

This year, rather than face the stress of queuing at an airport, or waiting for a train, we can experience the conference virtually from the comfort of home or at our workplace with colleagues.

While only those registered for a session can obtain BSEcho reaccreditation points (two points per session, up to a maximum of 12 points for those who attend the full virtual conference) colleagues can watch the presentations too, to ensure that learning is shared across your department.

Sessions will be spaced out across the week from Monday 5th October to Saturday 10th October at different times of day, and will cover a variety of topics, including 3D assessment of MR, an overview of scientist/physiologist-led stress echo clinics, echo manifestations of COVID-19 and the latest normal reference intervals.

These are just some of the sessions I’m most excited about and that are currently most relevant to my team. What’s not to love? Register now for #BSEcho2020
