European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI) TTE, TOE & CHD
EACVI accredited members are exempt from the BSE written (i.e. theory exam) component of the adult TTE, TOE & CHD accreditation process. The date proof of EACVI certification is received by the BSE becomes the date that the theory exam is effectively 'passed'.
The logbook requirement is reduced to 150 cases with a 60% reduction in the minimum number of cases to be submitted in each category and practical (scanning station and 5 video cases) components are then required to be fulfilled as standard.
Cases can be collected over a 36 month period (12 months before and 24 months after) the date that BSE received proof of their EACVI accreditation. Candidates are able to use cases and/or logbook reports that have been previously submitted for EACVI accreditation providing the cases fall within the time limits and BSE logbook criteria are met.

Australia
ASAR accredited members are exempt from the BSE written (theory exam) component of the adult TTE accreditation process. The date proof of ASAR certification is received by the BSE becomes the date that the theory exam is effectively 'passed'.
The logbook requirement is reduced to 150 cases with a 60% reduction in the minimum number of cases to be submitted in each category and practical (scanning station and 5 video cases) components are then required to be fulfilled as standard.

Candidates are able to use cases and/or logbook reports that have been previously submitted for ASAR accreditation providing the cases fall within the time limits and BSE logbook criteria are met.
The Diploma of Diagnostic Ultrasound (DDU) has not been assessed and therefore is not subject to the revised recognition process as for ASAR with reduced logbook requirement. Candidates holding DDU certification will need to follow the normal BSE accreditation process.

CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International) subsets CCI-ACS, CCI-RCS, CCI-RS4, CCI-RCS235 accredited members are exempt from the BSE written (theory exam) component of the adult TTE accreditation process. The date proof of CCI certification is received by the BSE becomes the date that the theory exam is effectively 'passed'.
The logbook requirement is reduced to 150 cases with a 60% reduction in the minimum number of cases to be submitted in each category and practical (scanning station and 5 video cases) components are then required to be fulfilled as standard.

Candidates are able to use cases and/or logbook reports that have been previously submitted for CCI accreditation providing the cases fall within the time limits and BSE logbook criteria are met.

N.B. other subsets (RCS5, RCS6) do not meet experience criteria for recognition and will need to complete the full accreditation process.
ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) - subset ARDCS (register of diagnostic cardiac sonographers): adult echocardiography (again mainly USA & Canada) accredited members are exempt from the BSE written (theory exam) component of the adult TTE accreditation process. The date proof of CCI certification is received by the BSE becomes the date that the theory exam is effectively 'passed'.
The logbook requirement is reduced to 150 cases with a 60% reduction in the minimum number of cases to be submitted in each category and practical (scanning station and 5 video cases) components are then required to be fulfilled as standard.
Cases can be collected over a 36 month period (12 months before and 24 months after) the date that BSE received proof of their ARDMS accreditation. Candidates are able to use cases and/or logbook reports that have been previously submitted for ARDMS accreditation providing the cases fall within the time limits and BSE logbook criteria are met.

SIECVI (Italian Society of Echocardiography and Cardiovascular Imaging) accredited members are exempt from the BSE written (theory exam) component of the adult TTE accreditation process. The date proof of CCI certification is received by the BSE becomes the date that the theory exam is effectively 'passed'.
The logbook requirement is reduced to 150 cases with a 60% reduction in the minimum number of cases to be submitted in each category and practical (scanning station and 5 video cases) components are then required to be fulfilled as standard.

Candidates are able to use cases and/or logbook reports that have been previously submitted for SIECVI accreditation providing the cases fall within the time limits and BSE logbook criteria are met.

Indian Academy of Echocardiography Accreditation – candidates are required to sit the written (theory exam). The logbook requirement is reduced to 150 cases with a 60% reduction in the minimum number of cases to be submitted in each category and practical (scanning station and 5 video cases) components are then required to be fulfilled as standard.
Cases can be collected over a 36 month period. Candidates are able to use cases and/or logbook reports that have been previously submitted for IAE accreditation providing the cases fall within the time limits and BSE logbook criteria are met.
