The British Society of Echocardiography works to support and promote the interests of echocardiographers, patients and students through developing links with the NHS and the Department of Health. The Society provides information and advice on echocardiography to politicians, civil servants, opinion formers and decision makers.
The Society has previously supported humanitarian projects which took echocardiography to unsupported areas, for instance the Echo in Africa project in collaboration with SunHeart.
