Registrations open on Wednesday 25 February 2026 and close on Tuesday 21 April 2026

The practical assessment consists of 3 Stations

The Stress Echo practical will be part virtual. The logbooks and viva cases will be assessed ahead of the assessment. Candidates signing up for this assessment must have the logbook (submitted via the portal) and the viva cases ready to upload by Tuesday 28 April 2026.

Station 1- (logbook): 200 logbook reports submitted in advance via the online logbook portal. Remember to upload evidence of your TTE accreditation in the supporting information section of the logbook portal.

Station 2 (live scanning): Candidates will be asked to acquire a number of views on a normal volunteer. This will be done in a specified timescale. The assessor will be present in the room and may help adjust the echo machine buttons as directed by the candidate if the machine is unfamiliar. The candidate can request to use a treadmill or bike (during the confirmation communication).

Station 3 (viva cases): Five video cases will be assessed at this station per the accreditation guidelines. (Viva cases must be submitted in advance by the deadline noted above).

Cancellations: All cancellations must be made in writing (email), providing appropriate information and reason for cancellation to [email protected]. Cancellations with less than one week's notice (7 calendar days or less) will be classed as an automatic fail.
