Welcome to the start of your journey to BSEcho 2022, our first ever hybrid annual conference.

There is no doubt that COVID brought our profession and our society some big challenges; those challenges have now changed shape as we work as a national team, and the wider NHS, to address our backlog and champion the professional recruitment and retention we need to meet patient need in the future.

Our 30th annual conference was our best attended conference since the society began, which speaks volumes about echocardiographers across the UK and round the world.

This year we have decided to return to a main live conference and back it up with high quality virtual education for those who can’t get the time off to attend in person.

We hope this hybrid approach will prove accessible to all and give back much needed contact with national echo colleagues and friends. This is your opportunity to learn, reflect and engage with your career in echocardiography.

You will find further information in our FAQs, so take a look. Our team are on hand to make sure you have the best conference experience possible, so if you have a question which is not covered there, just get in touch directly.

We can’t wait to welcome you back and I hope to see you in London!

Best wishes,

Dr Claire Colebourn
President, British Society of Echocardiography
