#MyBSEcho2022 | ‘The best way to get to know our members is at conference’

Published 10/08/2022

Ms Dawn Brady, the new Membership Officer for the British Society of Echocardiography, shares why one of the best ways to engage with members is at BSEcho 2022.

On joining the British Society of Echocardiography as Membership Officer last month, one of the things at the forefront of my mind, and which excited me greatly, was BSEcho 2022 and being able to meet the members I’m communicating with daily. It is a wonderful way to break down those formal barriers and really engage with all of you on a human level which increases my (and hopefully your) confidence in supporting you with your needs as members.

From working at a variety of bodies previously across an eclectic array of industries, this led me to attending a wide range of conferences, meeting such interesting and formidable groups of people from all backgrounds and at different stages of their careers and I am looking forward to BSEcho 2022 being no different!

Being at these conferences and hearing the members’ stories, whilst at the same time learning in small but not insignificant ways directly about the field, will I am sure help me to be the best I can be. It will shape me in my new role at the BSE in providing the best service to our members working in the amazing and continuously developing medical field of echocardiography.

I very much hope to meet you there!
