Let's get moving | #BSEMiles campaign launched for 2021

After last year's success, #BSEMiles is our way of coming together as a community again.

In 2020, 50 BSE members took on the challenge on social media, some with families and friends, to run, walk and ride over 2500 miles – that’s more than 96 marathons! At BSEcho 2021 we want to build on that, so we are calling on you to walk, run, cycle or swim as many miles as you can to see how far we can go together throughout the conference!

For instance, to get from BSE headquarters to EACVI headquarters is 853 miles. 1018 miles will take us to Dr Israel Valverde in Seville. If we can accumulate 1487 miles, we can reach Dr Kalliopi Keramida in Athens and 3550 miles would see us in Toronto with Dr Paaladinesh Thavendiranathan!

It’s easy to take part, just track your miles, let us know and we’ll keep the running total. And if you’d like to make your #BSEMiles really count, please fundraise for this year's charity partners, Cardiac Risk in the Young.

Every week in the UK at least 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed cardiac conditions. With your donation, CRY can reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD) by working with you to establish good practice and appropriate screening facilities to promote and protect the cardiac health of our young. By supporting CRY you will help save young lives from these potentially fatal cardiac conditions. See how your support can help by visiting their website.
