New research project launched

British Society of Echocardiography member Emma Lane has launched a new research project - and she needs your help!

Emma is currently undertaking a part time PhD at the University of Portsmouth with a focus on echo measurements in the critical care unit for sepsis/septic shock. She is asking for your assistance with gathering data on the current awareness and use of Global Longitudinal Strain (GLS) in clinical practice.

If you are a cardiac physiologist/scientist working in the NHS in England, please spare five minutes of your time to complete the questionnaire via the link below. All responses are completely anonymous - please do not write anything within the questionnaire which could allow identification of you or your hospital. There will be no feedback given on responses to any individual or department.

This data will go on to form a chapter of Emma’s PhD and will (in collaboration with the BSE) be submitted for poster presentation and subsequent publication, should you be interested in the final results.
